Follow the simple steps described below to TUM-enable your Eclipse within several minutes(depending on your connection speed) OR you can download an already TUM Eclipse enabled at Tikal Eclipse download area
The minimum requirement for using TUM is, naturally, the Eclipse platform version 3.2 and JDK5+, which you can download at Eclipse site download section
Begin the installation from the Eclipse Help menu item:
Help -> Software Updates -> Find and install
This screenshot show the screen as it initially comes up. In this case you will need to change the radio button to indicate that this is a new install.
This screen will vary depending on the features you have installed already. You want to click on the New Remote Site button.
This screen is showing the New Remote Site dialog, filled in with the correct information to install Tikal Update Manager
Name: TUM Snapshot
URL: http://network.tikalk.com/snapshot/updatesites/com.tikal.eclipse.tum.updatesite/site.xml
When you first come back to this screen, the site you added will NOT be selected. Be sure to select it before clicking Finish.
This next screen shows all of the features that are available to install, Select "Platform" Category.
Click the button to accept the license agreement.
Confirm the install location
Confirm Feature verfication.
Installation in progress.
Eclipse needs to be restarted after installing TUM.
Finally, after restarting Eclipse, the first thing you will typically want to do is open the TUM where you can control your updates.
